From Hudson Yards, to the World Trade Center, the skyline of New York City is undergoing some serious changes. While the previously mentioned sites primarily focus on commercial development, there’s a popular stretch of land along the southern end of Central Park that is undergoing unprecedented residential development. Here’s a look at the luxury skyscrapers of 57th Street.

One57: 157 57th Street

Designed by former Pritzker Prize winner Christian de Portzamparc, One57 is one of the and sought after skyscrapers in all of New York. The Extell-developed tower is nearly complete, rising over 1000 feet into the Midtown sky. The ultra-luxe condo building has shattered records, netting two sales of over $90 million.

Nordstrom Tower: 217 West 57th Street

The second luxury condo building being developed by Extell on 57th Street is at 217 West 57th Street. The Nordstrom Tower is set to rise 1,423 feet, which will make it the tallest building by roof height in New York City when it is completed, which will likely be 2018. Aside from luxury condos, the recently approved building will house the city’s first, you guessed it, Nordstrom department store.

432 Park Ave

Located on Park Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets, 432 Park Avenue is rising 1,398 feet, which will earn the title of tallest building in New York City to roof, as well as when it is completed in 2015 (before being surpassed by the Nordstrom Tower). Amenities at 432 Park will include pretty much everything expected in supertall luxury building—a lounge, restaurant, outdoor terrace, gym, billiards room, screening room, pool, spa and massage therapy room.

111 West 57th Street

111 West 57th Street, developed by JDS Development Group, is a luxury condominium, as well as a conversion of the landmarked Steinway building. The skinny tower set to rose 1,350 feet will be the slenderest in the world upon completion. Each floor of 111 West 57th Street will be its own 5,000 square foot condo, each coming with stunning views of Central Park.
