New Residential Developments in Greenwich Village
Greenwich Village is the center of arts and culture in New York City. This historic area is the home to many beautiful parks and cafes and consistently ranks as one of New York City's most desirable places to live. With the charm that rests within Greenwich Village, it’s no surprise that residential buildings keep popping up all over the area. Listed below are some of the newly constructed developments in the Village:
The Schumacher
Built in 2013, The Schumacher is one of the newer additions to Greenwich Village. Located at 36 Bleecker Street, The Schumacher was originally a historic Romanesque Revival-style print atelier, reconstructed into boutique homes. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, this development features 20 two-to four-bedroom residences with brick ceilings and oversized wood-framed windows.
215 Sullivan Street
Constructed in 2014, 215 Sullivan Street is a modern take on Greenwich Village’s historic architecture. Originally built by architect and landscaper, Calvert Vaux, this development has been carefully expanded and altered by a team of experts. Revisions were done by Ed Rawlings of Rawlings Architects, interior designer Eric Cohler, and landscape architect Edmund Hollander. This building features a courtyard garden and select units have private rooftop terraces.
10 Bond Street
Newly added to the vibrant area of Greenwich Village is collection of residences at 10 Bond Street. Designed by Selldorf Architects, this development features eleven boutique homes, and is set to become Bond Street’s latest architectural landmark. These eleven residences include a mix of 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, a 3-bedroom townhouse, and a 3-bedroom penthouse, all custom designed by Selldorf.
12 East 13th Street
A new addition to the culturally packed neighborhood is the development at 12 East 13th Street. In the heart of the neighborhood you can find these eight exclusive loft-style residences offering the ultimate comfort and privacy. These homes were uniquely created by architect and interior designer, Cetra Ruddy and developers DHA Capital and Continental Properties.
The Greenwich Lane
The Greenwich Lane is a collection of five unique addresses and five townhouses, settled together in New York’s the West Village. Spanning from Eleventh to Twelfth Street off Seventh Avenue, this structure is groundbreaking in its innovative size and design. Every home is custom-made by acclaimed interior designer, Thomas O’Brien who combines the glamour of Old New York with the individuality of modern living.
