St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, and for most New Yorkers, the festival is a good excuse to do a pub crawl across the city’s many splendid Irish bars. Given that Soho is our , we decided to sift through the many bars in this fashionable area to find places that will give you an authentic Irish experience in your Soho pub crawl.

As the temperature begins to rise, so does our hunger for outdoor dining. Here are five of our favorite spots to grab a warm bite on the streets of Tribeca.

Sure, Tribeca has designer stores, trendy bars and fancy restaurants—but if you’re a kid (or a kid at heart!), it’s very likely that you wouldn’t be very impressed with the above establishments. But worry not—Tribeca is home to a number of wonderful toy stores, all of which contain curios and contraptions that are certain to delight people of all ages. TriBeCa –  Taking a walk down the cobblestone streets of TriBeCa it wouldn’t be a surprise if you bumped into Jay-Z on your morning jog or Robert DeNiro as you’re taking your beloved pooch for a walk down Chambers Street. This neighborhood is known for its famous residents( even the late John F. Kennedy Jr used to live here) and is the home of many young professionals with families. Its name is an acronym for “Triangle Below Canal Street.” TriBeCa extends from the south section of Canal Street between Broadway and West Street and south of Vesey Street. In the mid 1800’s TriBeCa was labeled as Manhattan’s Lower West Side and was one of the first residential neighborhoods in New York.  By the 70’s and 60’s the area transitioned and became industrialized. Most spaces were warehouses, turning TriBeCa into and the home for many New York City artists and musicians. Today those industrial buildings and warehouses have now been converted into upscale loft spaces and homes.

It’s a fun word to say, that’s a given. Lets say it again: So-ho. But there’s something else about this neighborhood which causes people to flock to it on a nearly religious basis. Very rarely will you run into a New Yorker unable to point you in the direction of the neighborhood’s cast-iron buildings, cobblestone streets, high-end shopping, and highly sought after loft apartments.
