Celebrity chef Eric Ripert, known for his work at Le Bernardin, has bought a 1,272-square foot two-bedroom apartment at Chelsea Green. The apartment was listed for $1.835 million.

Construction on LEED-certified Chelsea Green is estimated to be complete in fall 2013. As of June 2012, 50 percent of the units were sold. The completed building will emphasize healthy living through the inclusion of a rooftop lounge, fitness room, spa and sauna in the Wellness Center. The sales office is currently open, and has been designed to imitate the apartment units.
