NCM Building Review: Cheers For Riverhouse’s New Management, Green Living Environment, Lovelyl Views, and Luxurious Condos

battery park from a helicopter Have you ever imagined what it would be like to live in The City, but be able to avoid the hustle and bustle that goes on outside of most New York City apartment buildings? Sounds good, does it not? Living in Battery Park City would take that ridiculous imagination of yours and turn your dreams into reality. The Riverhouse (in Battery Park), under new ownership since March, adds some umph to New York City living. The Riverhouse’s amenities are great. With a lap pool, children’s playroom, outdoor terrace and park, yoga studio, billiard’s room, media café, and fitness center, this Battery Park City apartment building fulfills the needs of all of its residents. Rockefeller Park--which is right in the Riverhouse’s backyard--provides residents with a great area to spend time outside, watch ferries go by on the Hudson River, go for a run, or bring the kids to one of several play areas. It would be difficult to find a more relaxing New York City neighborhood. The Riverhouse’s most amazing amenity, by far, is it’s backyard. The Hudson River runs just steps from the building and many Riverhouse apartments have a stunning river view of the Statue of Liberty and Midtown Skyline.

Things New Construction Manhattan Blog Loves: Actual New Construction in Manhattan

New construction update in Manhattan It's tough to cover Manhattan real estate without a little bit of hyperbole making its way in -- Manhattan condos are something like a hype-driven economy, after all, and while there are certain basic real estate truths, NYC real estate is essentially always in flux. There are a few reasons for this, foremost among them the fact that the LEED Gold The Riverhouse is one of the finest condo listings in Battery Park City and one of the greenest of the green condo listings in Manhattan, period.

Mid-Week Read: One Madison Park, Manhattan's Most Troubled (And Symbolic) Luxury Condo

One Madison Park in ChelseaIf we were perhaps a little too goofy for the (awesome) new Nouvel in Chelsea in yesterday's New Construction Manhattan blog post, it's worth noting that we are only slightly less over-the-moon for the very cool-looking and impressively lavish One Madison Park, a luxury condominium in the Flatiron District at 23 East 22nd Street. But while the condos for sale at One Madison Park are pretty much beyond reproach, the building itself has suffered through an... interesting period of late, with the developers getting into trouble with creditors and the entire building's brand taking something of a hit in the process.

Condos Still Selling at Riverhouse as Developers Engage in Legal Skirmish

The Riverhouse in New York CityWe'll just be honest about this: we at New Construction Manhattan just love us some Riverhouse. The super-sustainable Battery Park City condo is one of the greenest NYC condos out there, period, and offers every bit as much in terms of amenities and stunning apartments for sale as it does in terms of green elements. The Riverhouse is a LEED Platinum condo with a great location and great condos, and that's why we like it so much. There, we said it. So who cares if Riverhouse is currently wrapped up in a legal squabble between its managing corporation and developers? Um, right?
