Greenwich Village Middle Schools: Crowded, but help is on the way!

Posted on Sat, 06-20-2009

Greenwich Village could soon become a little friendlier to families with middle schoolers. As it is, schools are becoming more and more crowded. But the city is in the process of converting the defunct Sports Museum of America's building into middle school space. It may draw students from a couple nearby schools, but in one scenario, the building could become the new home of Greenwich Village Middle. Obviously, some Village parents are concerned about the location, since for many it's a little farther away. The city also has their work cut out for them in converting extra space into essentials like gym space. We'll see how this one works out, but this could be a good solution for Village students, who are in need of some breathing room. Source: First and goal for school space in Sports Museum
