250 West Street

Tribeca

There are many reasons for Tribeca's longstanding status as one of Manhattan's most sought-after neighborhoods, but its graceful blend of old and new -- these cobblestone streets are home to some of the most luxurious condominiums for sale in Manhattan -- may be Tribeca's most distinctive and desirable trait. That same combination of old Manhattan aesthetics and new Manhattan luxury is very much in evidence at 250 West Street, which quickly established itself as one of the most promising new condominium listings in Tribeca. While there are many luxury loft conversions in Tribeca, 250 West Street stands out both for its graceful, prototypically Tribeca looks and the gracious, elegant loft-style condos for sale behind that red-brick Italianate exterior. Even by the high standard for luxury and looks to which Tribeca condo conversions are held, 250 West Street is a standout. Factor in an elite suite of amenities and an exquisite attention to detail in the apartments for sale, and it's easy to see why 250 West Street ranks with both the top new condos in Tribeca and the most intriguing new condominium listings in Manhattan, period.

The apartments for sale at 250 West Street are peerlessly modern, despite their historical setting. Soaring ceilings, oversized windows and solid wood floors offer a luxurious update of classic Trbeca loft aesthetics, but modern finishes and fixtures elevating these stylish residences above the classic loft. The kitchens at 250 West Street offer a familiar loft-style openness, and feature the sort of high-end fixtures -- integrated refrigerators by SubZero, Bosch stove, range and dishwasher, custom PoggenPohl cabinetry -- that come standard in top-tier Manhattan luxury condominiums; the white quartz countertops and imported glass tile details, on the other hand, are stylish accents that are anything but standard. The gracious baths feature hand-laid marble floors, brass and brushed-nickel fixtures from Kohler, and generous dimensions. In short, the apartments for sale at 250 West Street offer as compelling a combination of classic Tribeca loft looks and contemporary comfort as any new Tribeca condominium on the market.

The amenities at 250 West Street, too, place it among the best-appointed new condominium listings in Manhattan. With Piers 25 and 26 of the new Hudson River Park as a backyard and the best of Tribeca's restaurants, nightlife and culture just outside 250 West Street's distinctive ironwork entrance, it could be argued that 250 West Street's location is its finest amenity. There is, however, plenty of competition -- from the residents-only library; from the state-of-the-art two-story fitness facility, complete with pool and sauna; from the stunning views, lounge and dining areas that highlight the 5,000-square-foot roofdeck. All the familiar luxury condo conveniences are in place as well, naturally -- that showcase lobby features a 24-hour concierge, and there's copious storage space for residents. For form and function, 250 West Street is among the most promising new condo listings in Tribeca -- and in its combination of the classic and the contemporary, it's a new luxury address that's clearly very much at home in this most distinctive of Manhattan neighborhoods.
