Hudson Yards Update

Posted on Thu, 07-14-2016

To say that the Hudson Yards area of New York is currently in the throws of transformation is something of an understatement. Already in progress, the future Hudson Yards will be home to 4,000 residences,state-of-the-art office towers, a full 14 acres of public open space, over 100 shops and restaurants, and more over the next few years.

Already completed—10 Hudson Yards—which opened less than two months ago and already occupied by tenants. This 895 foot skyscraper holds 70 floors and 391 apartments.

Developers have already moved on with constructing the 90 story, 1,296 foot tall tower at 30 Hudson Yards–with approximately 15 floors already completed above street level as of July 2016. The building is planned to measure an incredible 2.6 million square feet, making it one of the largest buildings in the Hudson Yards project. Every last square foot of space has already been committed, with Time Warner, Inc. occupying a full 1.5 million.

One of the most exciting attributes about the tower will be its observation deck, located 1,100 feet above the New York City streets. In addition to offering unparalleled views of the city itself, it will also be home to some of the roughly 100 retailers and restaurants in the building and will be anchored by Neiman Marcus.

Construction is predicted to be completed by 2019.
