The growing Lower East Side luxury residential market has recently added another condominium at 242 Broome Street. Taconic Investment and L&M Development have joined SHoP Architects and SLCE Architects to add this champagne colored 14-story tower to the changing neighborhood.
242 Broome Street is part one of an Essex Crossing mega-project development that includes three other residential buildings, with more to come.
The first four floors hold retail and commercial space while the luxury homes start on the fifth floor with three to six apartments occupying each floor. Every apartment features wide plank oak floors, high ceilings, oversized windows in every room and walk-in closets. The open kitchens include a dishwasher, wooden cabinets, and a kitchen island with marble countertops. The spacious bathrooms are complete with a glass shower, double vanity, oversized mirror, slate tile, and polished marble countertops.
Every resident here has access to the fitness center, entertainment lounge room, children’s playroom, and gorgeously landscaped rooftop. The Lower East Side is often referred to as “electric” for its nightlife hotspots that draw in large crowds at the local upscale bars, music venues, and restaurants. The growing neighborhood is filled with numerous shops, museums, parks, and many subway lines.
This lavish Lower East Side development was completed in 2016 with homes still available. One-bedrooms start at $1,600,000, two-bedrooms are $2,500,000, and $3,950,000 for three-bedrooms.
