The Jefferson Is No Longer The "East Village Mystery Lot"

For years, the lot at 211 East 13th Street sat unused, prompting the “East Village Mystery Lot” nickname, but today, everything appears to be moving along just fine. The Jefferson--denominated as such for the site’s vaudeville history as the Jefferson Theatre--has updated its teaser page to a fully operational website complete with pricing, floor plans, and several renderings for the upcoming East Village condo.

The Jefferson at 211 East 13th Street will eventually house 83 units, but only 11 of these condos are listed for the time being. The current listings range from a 536 square-foot studio to a penthouse featuring 2 bedrooms and a 610 square-foot rooftop terrace, with prices of $850,000 and $2.49 million, respectively.

Residences at the Jefferson will boast 9’ 2” ceilings, oversized windows, and stained oak floors. The kitchens are being said to have Sub-Zero wine and regular refrigerators, and ceilings which are custom designed with natural oak paneling. Oversized soaking tubs and custom glass showers will be placed in the bathrooms alongside custom reclaimed wood vanities and stone tiled walls.

The residents of the Jefferson will have access to building amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, residents’ lounge, and lush roof garden with private cabanas available for purchase as well as an outdoor shower.

While The Jefferson may no longer be able to hold the the title of the "East Village Mystery Lot", we'll have to wait and see just how popular the luxury building becomes. Based on it's location and the scarcity of luxury apartments in the East Village, we're willing to bet The Jefferson's brightest days are ahead of it.
